He claimed that some NPP leaders went to Assin North purely for sexual fulfillment, sleeping with women in various hotel rooms, rather than to solicit support for their candidate.
He revealed in an interview with Ambassador TV that "certain NPP officials were doing 'point and kill' of ladies when NDC executives and members were on the ground campaigning heavily for James Gyagye Quayson"
Although NPP officials and their campaign staff were unable to mobilize a significant amount of support for Charles Opoku because they lacked a message for the Assin people, Michael Afrane told Osei Kwadwo that bad luck contributed to their defeat.
He said, "We traveled to Assin North for the by-election and supported our parliamentary candidate, but other NPP executives were changing sex positions in their hotel rooms instead of going out to the polls to support win.
"When preparing for battle, keep in mind that you must be strong both physically and spiritually. To win the battle, you must have a pure soul and refrain from sleeping with women. When they saw that we (NDC members) were planning to run a campaign for James Gyagye Quayson, some NPP members, especially their executives, began to tease us since they believed they had already won the election, he said.
He claimed that in order to win the election, top NPP figures engaged in womanizing binges rather than running for office.
How are some of your leaders managing sex situations in hotels while this election is at stake? How do you win elections if your leaders aren't out campaigning but are instead mingling with attractive women in well-known bars? He queried.
