According to a video taken with witnesses at the Star Oil Filling Station, the four robbers were apprehended a short time after committing the heinous crime in the early hours of June 22, 2023.
The scene was surrounded by people gathered at the gas station, some of whom exclaimed, "The robbers have been caught!"
The incident started when some robbers attempted to loot a convenience store in the Ablekuma Fan Milk neighborhood of Accra.
Tragically, as a result of their illegal conduct, a police officer who was accompanying a bullion truck while on duty was shot and killed. The cop was reportedly sitting in the front of the car when the attackers struck, viciously firing numerous shots at close range.
To apprehend the robbers, the Ghana Police immediately began a manhunt operation.
The four suspects who were allegedly engaged in the heist and the police officer's murder were identified thanks to their persistent work, and they were afterwards apprehended.
