The Citi TV/Citi FM team has made a significant impact in providing relief to those affected by the recent floods. The upcoming donation drive will benefit selected communities within the Anlo, Keta, and Ketu South constituencies. Citi FM and Citi TV, with the support of their listeners and viewers, have already helped the victims of the Akosombo dam disaster twice in October 2023, bringing joy to thousands of residents.
As part of the #Relief4LowerVolta campaign, a donation was made to various communities in the Volta Region. The donation included mattresses, cooking utensils, blankets, rice, beans, maize, sachet water, and mosquito nets. The communities that benefited from this gesture were Mafi Aklamador, New Bakpa, Agave Asidowhui, Agbeve, Sokpoe, Kewuse, and Mutkunya.
The #Relief4LowerVolta campaign, led by Citi FM/Citi TV, seeks to provide assistance to those impacted by the Akosombo dam spillage.
It gave Corporate Ghana, associations, and people impacted by the unrelenting campaign a platform to contribute financially and in kind.
In addition to the relief supplies, the residents received free medical exams and prescription drugs.
Resettlement centers are currently being built by Citi FM and Citi TV for a few of the impacted areas, starting with Torkpo.
